Transgender Voice Therapy – a subjective study of its effectiveness in transgender male to females.

I am a 4th year Speech and Language Therapy student carrying out a study to determine the areas in which transgender individuals consider Speech and Language therapy to be most effective. Commonly occurring focuses for therapy include pitch, resonance, articulation, non-verbal communication and articulation so it is important to find out which areas you as service users consider as helping you to achieve your own personal goals.

.You do not have to take part in this study if you do not want to.

.If you do agree to take part, you are free to withdraw at any time.

.Your thoughts, feelings and opinions will be recorded by answering questionnaires.

.Confidentiality will be maintained throughout this study and no identifying information recorded.

.All data collected will be analysed by my university supervisor and I.

.Questionnaires will be kept secure.

.All data collected will be destroyed on completion of this study.

.All data collected will be treated highly sensitively and not used for non-research purposes.
